Being born and raised in Portland, OR, I am a Pacific Northwest gal through and through and find inspiration in many of its unique aspects. But after graduating from journalism school at University of Oregon, I was itching for an adventure.

For several years, I worked as a breaking news & education reporter for USA Today papers. I found myself well-suited for it; while others flee at the sight of smoke, curiosity drives me to follow it to its source. It fueled my love of writing and local journalism.

I am back in Portland, OR and currently focused on writing creatively for personal works.

Oh…and I’m also a hopeless romantic.
